Bears, Crowns and Wolves !
This week Reception class has been hunting for bears! The children have been thinking about where different types of bears live and have set up an Arctic Explorers’ Station in the role play area, hoping to spot some polar bears. Along with Pre-School they all ventured down to the river banks earlier in the week, as they had heard that some bears live in woodland habitats. However, they did not find any bears there, except for a very friendly teddy bear!
Year 1 have been learning and writing about JK Rowling this week in their topic work, and in DT designed and made some beautiful crowns.
Year 2 have been learning about skin hygiene in PSHE; discussing the Ten Commandments in RE; reading and answering questions about wolves in English; and problem solving in Mathematics using their knowledge of multiplication and division.
Eco Club has got off to a great start with the children now making posters from recycled magazines to help everyone in school be more eco-friendly.
